Landscapes of the Gyp Hills, or “Red” Hills, in Barber County, Kansas make wonderful pieces of artwork. This is a scene of those hills west of Medicine Lodge, Kansas just off of Highway 160, which is one of nine scenic byways in Kansas. The Gyp Hills are dotted with cedar trees and wildflowers and there are numerous dirt roads that wind their way through the hills to an old homestead or pasture ground.
